BIOGRAPHY:

H. M. Nuruddin Chowdhury Rana, 7th Dan in Shotokan Karate, is a highly accomplished martial artist with over three decades of experience in the sport. Rana began his karate journey in 1990 and achieved Shodan (1st Dan) in 1993 under the guidance of Shihan Humayun Kabir Jewel, a renowned Shotokan Karate master and the first WKF referee in Bangladesh.

Rana has held various positions of leadership and recognition in the karate community, including National Karate Kyu Examiner, Karate Judge, Referee, Coach, and Chief Guest in international karate championships. He has received numerous awards and accolades, including the World Sports Star Award (2022) and the World Karate Masters Excellence Award (2022). Rana also holds leadership positions in various international martial arts organizations, such as the International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF) and the World Kobudo Martial Arts Federation (WKMAF).

In addition to his Shotokan Karate expertise, Rana also practices traditional karate under Kyoshi Justo Gomez, a 7-time world karate champion and founder of the International Traditional Karate School. He was appointed as the South Asian Technical Director of ITKS in 2018. In 2020, he was elected as General Secretary of the Shotokan Karate-Do Sports Association International (SKSAI) for his contributions to the development and growth of the organization globally.
